Our honeymoon started off with a nicely decorated car :) It originally was seran wrapped with the whole pop can deal going on. It was cute.
DAY 1: The first night we stayed in Eugene at the Phoenix Inns, then Sunday we were off to Yachats to the Overleaf Lodge. We absolutely loved our room there. It looked out to the ocean from all windows and we even had a big jacuzzi tub. We got to relax, watch the olympics, and enjoy the sunset.
Leigh during the day right outside the hotel.
Our lovely friends, Margaret and Greg recommended the Drift Inn restaurant in Yachats. We LOVED it so much that we went twice. :) They had the cutest decorations with mermaids and different umbrellas.
The view from our balcony. It was BEAUTIFUL.
DAY 2: We headed to the Heceta Lighthouse Bed & Breakfast on our 2nd day. This was the most interesting night of the honeymoon. If you don't know, the bed and breakfast is the innkeepers house, and it is haunted by a ghost named Rue. We knew this going into it, but I didn't realize how paranoid I would be until it was dark out. We went out to eat in Florence and got back to the house at about 9. We then decided to read all the stories of people that had stayed and encountered the ghost. Most of them happened to be in the room we were staying in, Victoria's room. Then when we went to bed I couldn't fall asleep due to a late nap and caffeine at dinner. Leigh had brought ear plugs and an eye mask so he fell asleep right away leaving me wide awake and hearing every little noise in the house. At 2:30 a.m. I woke him up to get me a glass of water and sleeping pills. Worked like a charm and I was asleep by 3. No encounter with the ghost for us though.

DAY 3 & 4: Our last two nights we got a vacation rental home in Yachats. It looked right out to the ocean and was very relaxing.

One of our nights at the house I made a delicious lemon peppered salmon and mashed potatoes. It was YUMMY!
Starfish...in the middle.
