This is where I spent the past weekend:
It was pure bliss.
Two weekends ago I was thinking it would be nice to get away for the weekend. I don't have any vacation time so I thought a trip to the coast would be fun. I decided it would be even more fun if Kirsten, Jonathan, the kids, mom& dad went. I found us a house in Lincoln City for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night. It was wonderful. Everything I had hoped for. Kirsten and Jonathan went up Thursday. Leigh and I left when we got off work at 2 on Friday. Mom and dad got in late Friday night. Saturday morning we were up eating pancakes and getting ready for some sunshine. The boys and the kids went down to the beach while the girls went grocery shopping. Lincoln City is known for their glass balls--glass blowing artists make these beautiful colored glass balls and leave them hidden on the beach. A kind man was walking along hiding the balls, he left his last one near us, without saying much, and kept on walking. The glass balls have numbers on them so you can register them at the visitors center and identify the artist that made your specific ball. Register we did. When the girls got back, we were determined to find another one. After a 2 hour walk we found nothing. :(
In Lincoln City we ventured out to the outlet mall, relaxed in the house, went to the coast for sunset, flew kites, and enjoyed the lovely, not-to-windy, sunshine-y weather.
Here is our array of pictures:
Leigh is taking a photography class at LCC and he seems to have quite the natural talent for it. What do you think?
T & E's moccasins that were retired this weekend. Aren't they cute? They got cute tennis shoes to replace them.
