4 months!

Kendal and Lyla are now 4 months old! I cannot believe how fast the time has gone. I am daily amazed by these beautiful girls. They are growing and changing daily. They are truly my miracle. :)

First, some pictures..then more about each of them...

 GO COUGARS!

Kendal:

10 lbs. 10 1/2 oz. (2%)
23.1 inches long (8.8%)
HC: 15.35 inches (4%)
as the doctor put it: she is on the chart now for her age!!

-is a mommy's girl
-smiles and had her first laugh last night!
-rolls over from tummy to back
-loves to look at her sister and smile at her
-talks and talks and talks
-is still a drama queen and lets her voice be known
-loves her snugglie (the monkey in the picture)
-is our Kendal Bendal (creative, I know, but it fits for some reason)

Lyla:

9 lbs. 8 oz. (.25%)
21.5 inches long (.15%)
HC: 15.55 inches (9.5%)
basically, she is tiny, tiny with a ginormous head

-is a daddy's girl
-moves her mouth, lips, and tongue in such a way that looks like she is trying SO hard to form words
-talks and talks and talks
-smiles a ton
-rolls over from tummy to back (mainly to get out of tummy time)
-kicks her feet all the time
-has just started giving attention to her sister and has smiled a time or two
-is our little Lyla Bean

The doctor has been impressed with their growth and is happy with their development. Lyla is still significantly small in weight, even for her adjusted age, but she is getting there! Both girls are part of a program called Welcome Baby which is for preemies under 32 weeks. A woman comes once a month to check up on their development and she does a developmental screening every once in awhile. Last week was their first screening and both girls are right on track with their adjusted age! It is so fun to have them interact with us more and interact with each other.

Ally, the girls are seriously so cute. They look a lot a like. And how fun that they are interacting more with each other! Cute! We're so sorry we missed you guys in Oregon. And, I think you did amazing by breastfeeding them for so long. I'm totally impressed.
