Another month closer to one year. I cannot believe it. The girls are looking more and more like toddlers, which is exciting and sad all at the same time. I have been very busy planning their first birthday which I am SO excited about. :)
Kendal & Lyla
Miss Kendal....
-about 17.5 lbs
-cruising along furniture and moves from one piece of furniture to another
-my parents got the girls a walker and Kendal is now practically running with it from the living room to the kitchen--back and forth as long as she can get us to help her turn around
-attitude is starting to be more expressive...as in I think we may have temper tantrums in the near future
-has started to climb to get to what she wants
-LOVES to be naked
Miss Lyla...
-hands and knees crawls everywhere--I now have 2 babies at my heels at all times
-uses the walker with assistance--she isn't very confident in her walking yet
- cruises on the furniture and loves to pull herself up on the couch and just watch us
-says dada! we have been working on it and she said it! it isn't anything regular yet though
-loves to have a ball rolled to her, catch it, and attempt to roll it back
Kendal and Lyla...
-have really started to interact with one another...they try to talk to each other and laugh together
-have started to understand us more and respond when we ask them questions/talk to them
-eating: we are down to bottles 4-5 times a day and I am pumping only 2 times a day (heavenly!), the girls have finally started to drink out of sippy cups sometimes, and they are starting to eat more and more finger foods. This past week the girls had pot pie for dinner--just like we did. It was nice to give them something that we were having, and they loved it! New foods: sweet potatoes & zucchini, mashed potatoes, cheese, kiwi, blackberries, brown rice, noodles. I definitely have some good eaters, they both eat pretty much everything put in front of them. Lyla is a little more reserved and picky, but usually will eat at least a little bit or will eventually try it.
-LOVE: peek-a-boo, dancing, music, being outside, having big open spaces to crawl (without even looking back, they just go and go!)
-We had another fun visit from Gammy and Papa :) The girls are starting to recognize them faster and adore the attention and love. And we get to see them next month too!
