We have been loving the sunshine and being outside! We have been looking forward to this summer since last summer ended. We felt like we didn't really get a "summer" last year since we spent all of our time in the NICU and then when the girls came home we didn't get out much. And bring so paranoid of sickness this past winter--we wanted outside! So we have totally been living it up--finding lots of fun things to do.
Park:
There are tons of great parks within walking distance of our apartment, so we have been on the search for the perfect one.
Pool:
We got the girls a little swimming pool perfect for two and they love it. We have been out a few times, splashing and crawling around the pool.
Festivals:
Here in Utah Valley they have tons of little festivals. And the best part: they are free to get in to! We have enjoyed walking around, letting the girls people watch, running around in open grass, and getting some yummy food.
Utah Lake Festival: It usually costs $9/car to get to Utah Lake near where we live, and I am just not willing to spend that much money for a few hours. So, when I saw they were having a festitval that allowed free entrance, I was totally on board. They have a teeny little "beach" that the girls loved.
Springville Art City Days: We absolutely love this little city. It has a "small" town feel, but close to everything. We had some amazing food and walked around the different craft booths. They had a little carnival that reminded me of the Iowa State Fair--the rides and smell of carnival food was overwhelming. The best part was the entertainment--they had this band singing 70's and 80's music and the girls loved it. They are both little dancers, swaying and bouncing up and down. It was so cute and fun.
Don't mind my goofy face.
Parade:
The girls' first parade! They LOVED it. So many things to see and watch.
Cutest Converse shoes ever!
Have I mentioned this girl is like a pro walker now?!
