Projects, Projects, Projects

After sewing that first quilt and loving being able to create I have continued to make things with my sewing machine and even hand sewing. I have also became a frequent reader of many craft/sewing blogs--it has almost become an addiction. :) Anyways here are my recent projects:

I saw this cute flower headband tutorial on a blog and just HAD to make one. Ever since big flowers and headbands for babies/little girls have become popular I have been jealous and have always wanted my own.

I made tutus for all 3 of my nieces for Christmas.

I have always loved the hand stitched phrases in a picture frame look--very country, which isn't necessarily my style, but I just love the simple, imperfect look of it. I also LOVE LOVE LOVE the talk by Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin: Come What May.

I made this bag for Kirsten for Christmas. I absolutely loved how this bag turned out and will probably be making more of them.

I made this cake for someone that works at the same company as me--she was hosting a baby shower for a friend. Her friend has always loved elephants and wanted a mama and baby elephant. I didn't get to do final touches on the cake--she picked it up the day before she originally said, but I think it turned out okay.

I got many, many wonderful things for Christmas, but the one thing I loved and totally did not expect was a wonderful KitchAid Mixer!!!! I have been making cake frosting with my little, cheap electric hand mixer and every time it smells like it is going to explode from over exertion. I made banana bread tonight with the KitchenAid. yummy!

I love that purse you made! So cute. I did get a tutorial of the owl school bag you commented on. I hope you try it, and I would love to see your finished project when you do.
THanks!
