2 months old!!!

We are 2 months old!!

We BOTH:
-love being at home
-love tummy time on daddy
 -have beautiful eyes
-are still trying to figure out that we sleep at night
-are super cuddly
-love going on walks and being in the car
-are growing daily and becoming stronger
-love being super cute!

Lyla:
6 lbs 3 1/2 oz
19 inches
Lyla...
-is doing really well with her oxygen (hopefully will be off of it in one week)
-loves to pull on her cannula even when it is painful
-can still wear preemie pants
-is very content and happy 99% of the time
-loves to be held and stare in to your soul

Kendal:
7 lbs. 11 oz.
20 1/2 inches

Kendal...
-has longer eyelashes than her mommy
-lets it be known when she is mad
-loves to be in the moby wrap (be held while walking around)
-is filling out the newborn clothes
-loves the swing

Everything is going really well at home! The girls are growing and starting to establish a routine. We had their 2 month appointment yesterday and they got their first round of immunizations--which they both hated (and so did mommy). We go in next week to check Lyla's oxygen saturation and if she is doing well we will hopefully be taking her off the oxygen. Then she will get off her caffeine, then have the monitors for another few weeks. We are excited to have the oxygen gone--she looks so different, and much more like Kendal, without the cannula on her face. Both girls are doing well in terms of weight, length, and head circumference considering they were 31 weekers. The doctor's office gave us a printout of their stats and they have graphs that show you where they are based on being 2 months old--it doesn't do adjusted age. Technically the girls are newborns, but also 2 months old--if that makes sense. Compared to 2 month old babies, that weren't premature, the girls are super tiny. Kendal is in the 1% for her stats and Lyla is in the .05%. But, if you look at newborns on the graph, they are both about in the 25%, which is still small, but good!

Here are some more pictures since we have been home:

 Tummy time!

We went on a walk all the way from our apartment to BYU--the girls slept the entire way and were totally worn out!

It was super hot and sunny--no signs of rain when we left for the walk. 2 blocks away from being back at home it started pouring! The girls had no idea--thanks to their canopies!
 In other fabulous news:
Leigh got accepted in to the BYU Business School!!!! It is a huge accomplishment. BYU is hard to get in to, but the Business School is even harder to get in to. I am so proud of him!
