Leigh's Cake

Kirsten and I worked hard on this cake for Leigh's 24th Birthday--which is tomorrow. I had this idea last year, but it was just Leigh and I in Provo. So I saved it for this year and when I talked about making a cake Leigh suggested I make a really cool Ducks cake with a football field and a ducks emblem in the middle....but I REALLY wanted to make this cake--so I did and I hope he likes it. :)

I got some G.I. Joe guys that were the perfect size and were holding guns. Kirsten made some trees made out of rice krispies with food coloring. And I got candy rocks to give more of a woodsy look.

The colored splats are the paintballs. :)

On Friday evening Leigh and I hiked partway up Spencer's Butte. We went too late so didn't have time to make it to the top before it got too dark. We have been playing around with our NEW SLR CAMERA!! ( We love it, if you can't tell). Leigh has had more time to play around with it, and it seems to come mroe naturally to him. So I will post some of his pictures sometime soon.
My picture (above) at the beginning of the hike.

Leigh's BEAUTIFUL picture towards the end of hike with the sun going down.

Ally you need to take the credit. It looks fantastic and really all I did was make the trees, which you came up with the idea. Thanks for letting me help. Love you!!!!

Happy Birthday Leigh!!!!
