Almost Half Way There!!

Can you believe I am 19 weeks? We can't...it has gone by SO fast. And I'm sure the next 20 weeks will go by just as fast. They will be here before we all know it! This post is mostly for family--lots of pictures of things we have bought for the girls and things we have received from family. Since our families live away from us, we want them to feel apart of everything we do before they come.  My parents came this past weekend, bringing so many things for us and the girls. We spent the weekend shopping--Leigh and my dad's FAVORITE thing to do :)

First off, a belly picture. And NO judging--I look awful and disgusting. My excuse is that it was after a long day at work and well I don't wear makeup or do my hair for work. The "pregnancy glow" has not blessed me yet. The girls are growing and I'm loving every minute of it.

The BEAUTIFUL chair below is something my parents brought. My Great Aunt Lucille gave this chair to my grandma, which was given to my parents. My parents had the woodwork and upholstery redone and it is just gorgeous. I absolutely LOVE the chair and cannot wait to rock my babies in it. My dad and my aunt were both rocked in this chair. And the bag in the chair--my awesome diaper bag. It is huge and cute and I love love love it.

The closet with all the clothes that Gammy (my mom) has bought so far.

My parents also brought out the cradle that they have kept in storage for years and years, waiting for grandchildren. My brother and I both slept in this cradle. It fits perfectly in our bedroom and is big enough for two babies. I even washed and put the cradle sheet on it that was from when I was a baby.

We went to IKEA this weekend and got a dresser.

The fabric below is what I am going to use to make car seat covers--It was a perfect find. Two of basically the same fabric but in different shades of pink. And the green is for the backing. Also, on the fabric it says "Be Green, Recycle, Love Freely, Tree Hugger, Love Nature, etc". I have to incorporate the Oregonian in us.

We also bought crib bedding this past weekend. We bought two of the same so it is easy to match other things in the bedroom. I love this bedding because it is simple and doesn't have a theme to it--that way I can just use the colors in everything else in the room. And I didn't want something that was only pink and purple--I wanted blue and green.

It has been fun to buy things and have a few things for their room. It makes it all seem even more real. Thanks again to Gammy and Papa for coming out, bringing stuff for the girls, and for taking us shopping.

Also, I will probably be referring to them as the girls or Baby A/Baby B because we don't have names yet and I don't know what else to call them! We are still trying to agree on names (Leigh is quite picky). And we have decided to keep the names a secret...we are going to make a list and take it to the hospital with us when they are born.

On Wednesday I have an appointment with the Perinatologist at the hospital. Since I am a "high risk" pregnancy due to having multiples, I automatically go to the Perinatologist. They will do an extensive ultrasound--checking every tiny little detail and looking for anything abnormal.  I'm excited to see them for such a long period of time, but nervous because I want everything to check out fine.

Other updates: I had my first bout of heartburn--and I did not like it. I think garlic may be the culprit--which I am sad about because I LOVE garlic. I had been getting headaches daily, but they aren't daily anymore. I have a little more energy than the first trimester, but I am hoping for more energy to come. I THINK I have felt them move, but still questioning it all the time. All in all, I love being pregnant.

Oh my goodness. I can't believe that you're almost halfway there either! It has gone SO fast. That is so exciting. Don't worry, the 2nd trimester only goes faster. And then you have 10 weeks left and realize you have a lot to do still lol... But, you look fantastic! And all the stuff you guys got is SUPER cute. I'm loving the bedding! Can't wait to hear all about the ultrasound!!
