21 weeks

We are past the half way mark and everything is still going fabulously! We had the first appointment with the perinatologist a couple weeks ago. I got to watch the girls for a total of almost an hour! They measure every tiny little detail to make sure there are no abnormalities and the pointed out everything to me. I got to see all 4 chambers of their little hearts, stomach, and brain. It was REALLY cool! They are as healthy as can be with nothing abnormal found in the ultrasound, which is great news. I also found out that the placentas are anterior--which means that they are in front of the babies, acting as a cushion between baby and my belly. Nothing strange about it and they will more than likely become posterior as time goes on. It is the reason why I didn't feel them for what seemed forever and I still don't feel them a ton.

Personalities may be coming out soon though as I feel them move and kick more. Baby A seems to be more subtle, quiet, and not very bold moves (as of now, anyways). Baby B on the other hand, just LOVES to push herself again my left side at all different times of the day, I think it is her bum. I get this rock hard feeling on that side of my stomach that I have to push back over sometimes.

Leigh felt Baby A kick last week and has felt Baby B push herself against my side!

Other than my growing belly and my 8:00 bedtime, I feel like my normal self. I'm still adjusting to the growing belly. We went to the grocery store yesterday and Leigh was pulling the cart through at the register to load the bags. I had moved to let him through, but then, for some reason, decided to "squeeze" through to pay. The only thing I forgot was that my belly sticks out now, making it impossible to just "squeeze" through anywhere.

Belly Picture (21.5 weeks): Doesn't seem much bigger than the last one taken at 18.5 weeks, but maybe that is just because I see it every day.

You look great! It's so fun when you can start to feel them more. It's always a nice reminder that they're doing ok in there ;). My placenta is anterior too, so I was the same way. And trust me, those kicks get pretty hard soon enough, so enjoy it now while they're not ;). I'm so glad everything is looking great. Keep us posted! Oh and my baby does that same thing - sticks her bum out all the time. My stomach will get all lopsided and funny looking. :)
