Happy One Week to my baby girls! On Thursday they were 7 days old! The time has flown by, I can't believe how much they have changed and grown in that short amount of time.
Over the past two days (Thursday and Friday) not much has happened in terms of changes or new news. Kendal is almost to full feedings for her weight and is doing really well with it. They think she will be off IVs (meaning her picc line out!) on Sunday. Kendal has been using a pacifier a lot to help with those sucking reflexes and muscles. She can keep it in her mouth and suck on it for awhile, which is good for future nursing. Lyla was put on a low flow cannula and doing extremely well on it. We are hoping she will be off any breathing help within the next couple days. She is still only getting 2 ml of milk per feeding and she got her feeding tube moved from her mouth to her nose! Yesterday Lyla started opening her eyes more and being able to keep them open. I love seeing their eyes and seeing them explore their surroundings. Yesterday Kendal had gained a couple ounces putting her at 3 lbs. 12 oz. and Lyla had lost a couple ounces putting her at 3 lbs. They should start gaining weight now that we are past the first week.

They're getting even cuter and I didn't think that was possible. Kendal looks so alert and I love the open eye Lyla pictures. I LOVE THEM!!!!
