They're Here

This is before we knew they were coming today.
This is Ally in the O.R.
Yes, I brought the camera in.  Originally they put a chair for me right next to Ally's head so I couldn't see the operation, but I stood up and walked around.  This surprised the nurses and at one point they asked me to step back and then another asked me if I was in the medical field.
This is Kendal's back, she was the first one to come out(bottom first).
 This is Lyla
This is Lyla right after being cleaned off, her apgar was 9/8

Kendal's apgar was 7/8 and this is in the NICU
Lyla in the room between the O.R. and the NICU, being cleaned
Lyla restrained due to a sterile procedure so she could not touch her umbilical cord.

This is Kendal about 5 hrs after being born

Lyla opening her eyes

This is the second day, this is Kendal's area.
Kendal wearing the CPAP for oxygen, this device causes swelling in the face.

Lyla was on the CPAP but was struggling so she was placed on a respirator.

The girls are beautiful! Don't worry about not being able take them home with you. This will give you a little time to recover and finish getting things in order at home before you are taking care of them 24 hours a day. Congrats!
