I promise I haven't been neglecting my blog, we just have minor technical difficulties. :)
Leigh chopped his computer cord in half the other day with the reclining part of our couch....don't ask...
Our pictures are all on his computer...so I'm stuck without pictures until we get the new cord in the mail. So hopefully in a few days :)
Kendal is now 5 lbs. 14 oz. They put her back on her caffeine and she went off of her oxygen. She has been doing fabulous with her oxygen now--so I guess she was taken off the caffeine a little too early. She gets about 50% of her feedings every time she feeds now. We just need to get up to that 75% mark so we can move on to 3 times a day.
Lyla is now 4 lbs. 7 oz., which means they put the girls in the same bed! It is wonderful, we love, they love it, and it is cute to see them all bundled up next to each other. Their "crib" sort of looks like a cage, which is strange, but definitely hospital-esque. Lyla is still on oxygen and it makes her quite stuffy. We also think she is fighting some sort of sickness. She threw up twice while we were there last night. It was awful. I hated every minute of it. She was crying while trying to breath--and I just wanted to make it all go away. I felt so bad for her. Poor little girl has had to deal with a lot in the past month. On a good note: Lyla has also been getting about 50% of her feedings every time she eats. She doesn't let her sickness stop her.
Both girls passed their hearing test and eye exam, which is fabulous because premature babies can have hearing and vision problems due to not developing in the womb. Both girls are becoming more vocal and beautiful. :) They are doing wonderful and we are more and more amazed by them every day.
